When We Met is a patent-pending software solution that offers its' users the ability to add new contacts to their cloud service address records with the added benefit of new contacts automatically being associated with the date, and the users location at the time the contact was added. For example, when adding a contact in July 2018, while in New York City and using the app, that new contact will automatically be able to be sorted in the future by both July 2018, and New York City. In addition, custom tags can be added to the contact at the time of creation, allowing for a more refined sort of 'who you met: when, where, and why.' When We Met was designed for anyone who needs to keep track of the people they meet when networking or on the road. It's also meant for anyone who wants assistance remembering who they met, and the context in which they met that person. (i.e. show me all the people I met in Aspen.)
The app uses your existing iCloud account to store and backup your contact data and the data used by the app to sort contacts based on location, tag, and event. None of your data is stored on our servers, or within the app itself. If you need to re-install the app, no login is required, the When We Met data is rebuilt using data stored within the contact records themselves. This also means you are fully backed up as you use the app as long as you are using iCloud or backing up your contacts to your computer, etc.
Adding a contact with the app is easy. It's designed to use the native contact input interface. Just open the app, and tap the '+' sign in the upper right hand corner. This will open the native new contact screen you are used to. From the home screen of the app, tap Add Contact to get to this same screen. Remember, the more you use the app to add new contacts, the more sorting capability you will have with your contacts going forward. We recommend adding the app to your first home screen to make it easy to use the app to add your contacts.
If you are at the home screen, tap All Contacts to get to the list of all your contacts. Note, you might be here by default if you open the app for the first time. Once at the list of all your contacts, simply tap the red 'i' icon on the right hand side of the contacts list that corresponds with the contact you want to add a tag to. Here you can add an existing tag you have already created and used before, or you can add a new tag. Note, once you add a tag, you can use it again without adding it as a new tag again. At this time, you cannot tag multiple contacts at once. If enough people ask for this, we will build it, so if you want this feature, please contact us!
From the home screen tap settings. Under delete tag, select the tag(s) you wish to remove and tap delete. Note that this will not remove the contacts that you created when adding the tags, but it will remove the tags from the contact record itself.

This is currently not a feature of the app. You can tag only one contact at a time by tapping the red 'i' from the contacts list, and then choosing the tag, and then tapping save. We plan to include multiple contact tagging in a future version of the app.
The data we use for the app is encoded into your contact records, so as long as you are backing up your contacts using iCloud, or manually baking up your phone to your computer to be restored to a new device, the app will re-build the contact database of all tags and locations when you re-install it on your new phone. None of your contact data is stored within the When We Met app itself, it is all stored in your contacts notes section of the address book, so if you need to delete and re-install the app, it will not effect your location and tag data and you will get all your tag data back when you restore the app.
After your 30 day trial, the cost of the app is $11.99 a year and al upgrades are included in this price.
